Anne becomes brand ambassador of Bolon, leading Chinese Eyewear brand

Anne Hathaway has been announced as the new brand ambassador for Chinese eyewear brand Bolon. She will be the face of the company in China, South East Asia and other countries in the Far East and her first advertising campaign will launch across TV, digital, print and in-store from February.

Eric Thoreux – President Sun, Readers and Photochromics at Essilor International, the company that owns the Bolon brand – said: ”Anne Hathaway epitomises youth and style for billions of consumers. She symbolises perfectly what Bolon stands for, both in Asia and in the rest of the world: a sophisticated, romantic and artistic image. Having Anne endorsing both Bolon sunglasses and optical is validating our strategy to continuously reinforce the quality of our products and to allow people to look good while protecting their eyes from the sun.”

The Essilor Group are confident that working with Hathaway – who is pregnant with her first child with her husband Adam Shulman – will lead to further success and growth for Bolon in the key Asian markets.
